The Brief:
Solarport, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of solar mounting systems, required an exhibition stand that would immediately set them apart in a competitive renewable energy environment. As a trusted partner to EPCs, installers and investors across utility-scale, commercial and domestic solar projects, the stand needed to reflect Solarport’s authority, scale and technical expertise — while remaining inviting and easy to engage with.
A key challenge was visibility. Positioned away from immediate competitors and main visitor traffic, the stand had to attract attention from distance, drive footfall and clearly communicate Solarport’s market-leading position. At the same time, it needed to showcase complex products in an innovative, intuitive way — encouraging natural circulation around the stand rather than being walked directly through.
The brief also called for a clear distinction between Solarport’s utility-scale bespoke systems and its modular commercial and domestic solutions, while supporting meetings, demonstrations, hospitality and accessibility within a two-storey structure.
The Concept:
Our response was to create a bold, gallery-style double-deck stand that combined architectural presence with hands-on product storytelling. The concept positioned Solarport not just as a supplier, but as a long-term partner — a brand defined by quality engineering, UK manufacturing and exceptional support.
The stand was designed as a journey: open, structured and immersive, allowing visitors to explore Solarport’s solutions at their own pace while clearly guiding them through the two key market offerings.

The Design & Build
The double-storey structure immediately elevated Solarport’s presence on the show floor, delivering strong sightlines and visibility from across the hall. Overhead rigging further amplified the stand’s scale, reinforcing brand recognition and drawing visitors in from afar.
At ground level, the layout followed a walk-around, art-gallery approach, ensuring products could be viewed clearly from all angles without interrupting flow. Two reinforced plinths showcased Solarport’s foundation options, set within realistic soil and rock environments to demonstrate real-world application and performance. This hands-on presentation allowed visitors to fully appreciate the quality, strength and engineering behind the systems.
A full-scale mounting system installation formed a central feature of the stand, installed beneath the floor and finished with astro turf to replicate on-site conditions. This created a powerful visual and tactile demonstration of Solarport’s products in action, reinforcing confidence in their structural integrity, ease of installation and long-term durability.
Zoning, Storytelling & Technology
Clear visual separation was created between Solarport’s utility-scale solutions and its commercial and domestic modular systems, ensuring each audience could quickly identify the products most relevant to them.
Striking reversed lightboxes framed key areas of the stand, delivering high-impact messaging and reinforcing Solarport’s brand from every angle. An LED video wall showcased Solarport’s hero content, bringing large-scale projects, manufacturing capability and technical expertise to life.
Interactive elements, including a digital map of completed projects, allowed visitors to explore Solarport’s nationwide footprint and decades of experience — reinforcing trust, scale and proven delivery.
The Result
The finished stand delivered a powerful statement of Solarport’s leadership within the solar mounting sector. From distance, the double-deck structure and rigging captured attention and increased footfall. Up close, the gallery-style layout, full-scale installations and interactive elements created an engaging, informative experience that appealed equally to utility-scale EPCs, established installers and new market entrants.
By combining strong architectural presence with hands-on product demonstration and thoughtful hospitality, the stand successfully communicated Solarport’s key messages: UK manufacturing excellence, exceptional quality, long-term reliability and unmatched customer support.
For BMS Technologies, the result was a stand that not only showcased their off-grid expertise, but also celebrated who they are and where they come from — leaving delegates with a lasting impression long after the show closed.
